Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do you sell food and drink onboard?

We do not have a bar or food for sale onboard, but we do have some complimentary soft drinks and snacks. Drinking water and fresh fruit is provided for guests. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks as we have a guest fridge and plates, glasses etc.

If you are coming for a half or full day trip we can arrange a picnic basket for you, or you are welcome to bring your own with cold food – we have serving plates you can use.

Can we stop for swimming and snorkelling?

Of course! However, this depends generally on the weather and waves. We can always anchor behind the marina walls if there are waves, so you can use our SUP boards and it is safe for children to swim. We have paddle boards and inflatables, snorkels, masks, and fins you can use. On calm days we can do this at sea near the shoreline, if it is a little wavy we can go within the outer harbour walls for a flat sea and anchor up.

We don’t allow swimming after dark on our overnight trips for safety.

Are children welcome?

Yes! But with a responsible adult who will be expected to supervise them at all times, and especially if they decide to swim from the boat or take out our inflatables. Children under 1 years old are not charged, but we do need to know numbers for safety when you book. We also have children’s life vests and small size fins and snorkels.

There are cabins where babies can be changed. We have an outdoor shower on the deck to rinse off after swimming for adults and kids, and an indoor bathroom if babies require facilities.

Do you have toilets onboard?

Yes we do, but we recommend you visit the charming toilet facilities in the marina before joining us onboard, as we rely on a tank for toilet flushes onboard. No paper can be flushed onboard also; there are disposal bins provided.

Do you have wheelchair access?

To access our boat you need to be able to step or jump across a short gangway. If you are able to make this with assistance or be carried across, we are happy to seat you on the boat. Please note that our bathroom facilities are below deck, and because of this, they are not accessible for wheelchairs. We leave this to your discretion if a short trip is suitable for you, however we are happy to adapt what we can. The marina and our pontoon are wheelchair accessible as is the parking.

How do I learn to scuba dive?

Certainly, you can have a “try” dive after learning basic scuba theory and skills, which will be tested in shallow water or a swimming pool prior to and depth diving. If you want to learn how to scuba dive and be qualified, you will need to take the PADI Open Water Course which is the beginners course. Additionally, minimum age is 14 years so please don’t book for children. There are also health questionnaires to complete to ensure you are fit enough and at no risk from diving at depth, for example if you have problems with breathing or heart problems. You must also be a confident swimmer. Check if diving is suitable for you with PADI here

How long does it take to get certified?

The PADI Open Water Diver course is flexible and performance based, which means that we offer a wide variety of schedules, organized according to how fast you progress. Find out more about certification and PADI here.

How much do scuba lessons cost?

Each scuba lesson is 55 euros, which includes equipment hire and air tanks. For an Open Water course, you will need both theory and practical courses onshore and on the boat. Contact us for prices.

Where are you located?

You can find us in Marina Salinas at the furthest end from Torrevieja town (10-15 minutes walk from the taxi rank). We are near to Mosquito Bar Wake Board Park and the marina toilet facilities. While walking along you will see the first pontoon – pantalan F. See the map here

Do you have life vests and a lifeboat?

Yes we do. We have state of the art life vests onboard for adults – these are for emergencies and not suitable as swimming aids. We have children size vests for 15-30kg and 30-40kg. Smaller children or babies will need their own floatation devices brought with you.

Will I get sea sick?

Hopefully not! Our catamaran does not heel or roll to the side like a monohull sailing boat, which means even if it is wavy, we are generally stable and smooth running. If you are worried we recommend taking tablets or ginger tea before, but it is unusual on a calm day.

Can we sleep in your cabins?

If you have booked an overnight trip, you are welcome to use your cabin whenever you like. For short trips such as day trips or afternoons, please don’t use the cabins or take a siesta! Otherwise we will have to charge a cleaning and laundry fee.

Do you have a waterpoof phone cases?

We have a couple of waterproof cases that you are welcome to use while onboard to protect your phone from splashes and spills. Some are suitable for swimming with but it is your responsibility to check that it is correctly sealed before you enter the water.

What gear will I need to scuba dive?

You will need a wetsuit, mask, fins, weight belt, a BCD (Buoyancy Control Device), and air tanks to scuba dive. We have all of these available on the boat.

Do I have to be a good swimmer to scuba dive?

Some swimming ability is required. You need to have basic swim skills and be able to comfortably maintain yourself in the water. Float and tread water for 10 minutes, again using any methods you want.

Where can I scuba dive by Torrevieja?

It is certainly possible to dive from Naufragos beach to try diving, or if you are qualified you can make boat dives with us. For experienced divers we can sail to Cabo de Palos in Murcia, one of Spain’s best diving spots.
